The Leadership Team

The Leadership Team at IVS consists of the Hospital Manager and Assistant Manager, the Kennel Manager and the Head Veterinary Technician. Together they are responsible for providing exceptional services to clients and patients, for hiring and developing the most dedicated and skilled staff and for ensuring that all Hospital teams work together to accomplish the goal of excellence for Irvine Veterinary Services.

The Assistant Hospital Manager and Hospital Manager work together to manage the day-to-day operations of the hospital, including records management, inventory control and agency compliance. This management team executes the Hospital’s business and marketing plans, and develops new sales and communications strategies to promote services. Management reporting on productivity, fiscal and marketing activities is another key responsibility.

The Manager and Assistant Manager in conjunction with other managers and leads, recruit and hire new employees, train and evaluate staff including mediating grievances and disputes. In addition, they plan and conduct staff meetings and help develop education programs and materials. Maintaining, updating and training staff on systems, policies and procedures is an important function.

The Kennel Manager assumes responsibility for the quality of care pets receive while at IVS and handles all aspects of operations of the Grooming, Kennel and Bathing areas. The Manager supervises and schedules staff and works with other Hospital managers in recruiting and hiring new staff.

The Head Veterinary Technician assumes responsibility for the quality of medical support and nursing care in the hospital treatment area, including assuring compliance with a variety of governmental agencies, overseeing drug and medical purchases, and maintaining medical and surgical equipment. In addition, the Head Technician manages the Technician staff and is involved in their hiring and training.

Qualifications for the Management Team at IVS include an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate academic discipline, substantial related experience in the medical field and professional attributes that include integrity, initiative, flexibility and the willingness to work hard.
